Course Description
In addition to the two-day institutes, an additional two-day program, 1040 Issues for Registered Tax Return Preparers, will be offered in five locations.
Although this additional program was added to specifically address  the new IRS Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements for registered tax preparers, it is also a perfect addition to the traditional two-day institutes for those wanting to reinforce the fundamentals of 1040 taxation. 1040 Issues offers up to 16 hours of CPE.

Continuing Education

The 1040 Issues Seminars are approved for

  • 16 continuing professional education hours *
  • 16 continuing education hours for enrolled agents
  • 1.6 continuing education units
  • 13 continuing legal education hours from the Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education
  • 13 continuing education hours from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards

*Important information regarding CPE’s:
You are welcome to attend both the Tax Practitioner Institute and the 1040 Issues Seminar. However, there is some overlap in topics covered in these programs. Because of this overlap and due to IRS reporting requirements, you will be eligible for a combined total of 24 CPE Hours.
